Privacy Policy

What we collect and do not collect

Statohub does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or submit personal profile information. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser by client-side code and are not intentionally sent to Statohub as calculator submissions. We do not sell personal data. The site does use analytics, described under Analytics below, and does carry third-party advertising, described under Advertising below.

Hosting and server logs

Statohub is served through Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts and content delivery networks, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp, and basic security or performance signals in edge logs. These logs are used for operating, securing, and delivering the site.

Analytics

Statohub uses two analytics services to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data.

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-PVHDLYC7T4) sets first-party cookies in your browser -- typically named _ga and _ga_* -- to tell repeat visits apart and to measure traffic sources. It may also process your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Google's description of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics is a page-view measurement script which, according to Ahrefs, does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site as described under How to view and control cookies.

Advertising

Statohub carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Ad revenue is what pays for the site and keeps every article and calculator free to use.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Statohub and to other sites on the internet. Google and its ad-technology partners may also process technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the page you are viewing, in order to select an ad, measure whether it was seen, cap how often you see the same one, and detect invalid traffic.

Statohub does not send your calculator inputs, or anything else you type into a page, to advertisers. Ad selection happens entirely inside Google's systems: we do not receive, see, or store the personal data those partners process, and we cannot read the cookies they set.

Google's own description of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your advertising choices

You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings. To opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at once, use optout.aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. You can also block or delete advertising cookies directly in your browser -- see How to view and control cookies below.

Opting out does not remove ads from the site. It means the ads you see are chosen without using an advertising profile built from your browsing.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising cookies are set only after you agree to them. Consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform, which shows a message the first time you visit and records your choice in your browser so you are not asked again on every page.

The analytics cookies described under Analytics above are not yet wired into that consent message. Until they are, you can prevent them by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked in that section, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser.

You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the privacy or consent settings link the message provides, or by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the message appear again on your next visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while consent was in place.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external educational or reference sites. Those sites are controlled by their own operators and are covered by their own privacy notices. Statohub is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

Children's privacy

Statohub is an educational website for general audiences. It is not designed to collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the site changes, when we add or remove services, or when legal requirements change. The updated date above will reflect the latest revision.

Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites can store in your browser. They are commonly used for sign-in sessions, preferences, security, analytics, and advertising.

Cookies set by Statohub

Statohub sets no cookies of its own for advertising or profiling. The first-party cookies you may find on this domain are set by Google Analytics -- typically _ga and _ga_* -- described under Analytics above. They hold an anonymous identifier used to count visits, not a profile built from personal details you have given us.

The site's dark-mode preference is stored with browser localStorage under the key theme. localStorage is not a cookie, and this preference stays on your device unless you clear it in your browser. The remaining cookies you will encounter on Statohub come from Google's advertising stack and from our host, described next.

Advertising and consent cookies

Google and its ad-technology partners may set cookies, or use similar browser storage, in order to serve ads, measure whether an ad was seen and acted on, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect fraud and invalid traffic. These are third-party cookies set by domains such as googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, and google.com -- not by Statohub -- so we can neither read them nor delete them for you.

The consent management platform also stores your consent choice in your browser. That record is what keeps the consent message from reappearing on every page, so clearing it will bring the message back.

Where consent is required -- in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland -- advertising cookies are set only after you agree to them. See Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland above for how to change your choice, and Advertising for the opt-out links.

Cookies from hosting and security services

Our CDN or host may set cookies or use similar browser storage when needed for security, performance, abuse prevention, or network delivery. These controls help keep a static site available and protected.

How to view and control cookies

You can view, block, delete, or limit cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you clear localStorage and other site data for a specific domain. Blocking some host or security cookies may affect how a site loads or whether protective checks work correctly. Blocking third-party cookies specifically will stop the advertising cookies described above without affecting the calculators, which run entirely in your browser.
