Reporting a mistake

Corrections are the messages we most want to receive. A wrong number, a formula that does not match the worked example, a calculator result you can show is off, an explanation that is misleading: all of these are treated as urgent, and the page is fixed rather than quietly left as it is. To help us find the problem in one pass, include:

• the page address (the full URL, or the title of the guide or calculator);
• the sentence, formula or calculator input you think is wrong, quoted or described;
• what you believe the correct value or statement is, and if possible where it comes from;
• for a calculator, the exact values you entered and the result you got.

When a substantive correction is made, the page's review date changes. How corrections and reviews work is set out in the editorial policy.

Questions about the data this site processes, the cookies it sets, the Google AdSense advertising it carries, or your consent choice go to the same address. Please read the privacy and cookie policy first: it explains what is and is not collected, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, which you can do without writing to us.

Suggestions and everything else

If a topic you needed is not covered, a guide stopped short of the question you actually had, or a calculator is missing an input you needed, tell us which page you were on and what you were trying to do. That detail is what turns a suggestion into a change we can make.

We do not build gambling or betting-odds calculators, so requests for those will not get a reply.
